Capturing Imagination

Mark Lewis is crazy.

If “imagination” was an Olympic sport, he would win the decathlon. Lewis continues to contribute to a number of Extreme Arts media projects–but now we are moving from helping CEO’s and senior executives to helping people who can really change the world–kids. With the help of Lewis’s imagination and his 30 year career as a professional writer and story teller, Extreme Arts is partnering with the likes of Chris Cerf (producer of Sesame Street and Between the Lions) and Mississippi Public Broadcasting to produce groundbreaking media for kids.

Although the Extreme Arts offerings are still closely held secrets, we can say that we are producing two shows; one focused on vocabulary and early literacy for 3-7 year olds, and a second focusing on math, geography and problem solving for 7-12 year olds. Extreme Arts CEO Randy Harrington said, “Mark is doing some of his best work ever. He is in the zone. We see such powerful potential to use “bridged media” (television, audio, and interactive web) to help kids pile on the skills and stimulation during these critical developmental stages oftheir lives.

Some might think that it is a bit of stretch for an international consulting firm to get involved in children’s educational media. For Mark Lewis, it all makes perfect sense. “The Extreme Arts people are great at bringing together thinkers, dreamers, and subject matter experts–this is what they do. This is the way real work gets done. It just so happens that in this case we are working in the playground of the imagination.”
