Shh…Don’t Tell Anybody…Except All Your Friends…

UPDATE: 9/16/08 early afternoon: So, the sockets now need to link to other things. We’re still on the cusp, which I suppose at the end of all things is good because we haven’t gotten USPS API integration quite right yet either. This is, like, hard. But fear not! Soon you will be able to swath yourself in merchy goodness.

UPDATE 2: 9/17/08 afternoon: We are testing the system, and everything appears to be hunky dory. A few additional tweaks and security holes to tie up, and we’ll be fully commercialized!

Very, very soon, the EASCI Store is going to be live. There’s been a small holdup on order processing - apparently shopping requires layers of sockets. Not just sockets, secure ones. So while we wait for these elusive sockets to appear (securely) and layer themselves in an orderly fashion, you can only marvel at the merch and hope, nay, yearn for the day when the sockets are secure.

On that day you will be able to adorn bits of yourself with our awesomeness. That in itself is great. But far more exciting, the store paves the way for plug-and-play curriculum modules around specific subjects (stuff like workplace diversity, courageous communication, and strategic web engagement). It also provides us with a means to roll out our newest venture, book publishing. Ever wanted a quick and easy-reading but not stupid primer on the hot topics of the day? That’s what we’re bringing to life, in early 2009 or potentially end of year this year.

All of this and more at your new favorite store. So close I can taste it! Woo!
